Several trades are available in the Raipur Division including Fitter, Electrician, Welder, Mechanic Diesel, Turner, COPA, Carpenter, Painter, Electronics Mechanic and others. Major vacancies are available in Fitter and Electrician trades.
Wagon Repair Shop, Raipur
The Wagon Repair Shop has openings mainly for Fitter and Welder trades along with a few vacancies in Turner, Machinist, Electrician and Stenographer posts.

Educational Qualification

Selection Method of SECR Apprentice Recruitment 2026
- There will not be any written test or interview for this recruitment process.
- The final merit list will be prepared based on Marks obtained in 10th Class and Marks secured in ITI.
- Both qualifications will carry equal importance while calculating merit scores.
Apprenticeship Period and Stipend
- Selected applicants will receive apprenticeship training for one year in their respective trades.
- During this period, monthly stipend will be provided according to Railway Board apprenticeship regulations.
- Completion of training does not guarantee permanent employment in Railways.
Medical Fitness Requirement
- Candidates shortlisted for document verification must submit a medical fitness certificate issued by a government-authorized doctor not below the rank of Assistant Surgeon.
