Coal India MT Eligibility Criteria 2026
Candidates must possess the required educational qualifications from a recognized university or institute.
Educational Qualification
For Engineering Posts
Candidates applying for Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, E&T, Industrial Engineering must have BE/B.Tech/B.Sc Engineering degree with minimum 60% marks.
For System Posts
Candidates applying for System posts should have first Class Degree in Computer Science / IT Engineering OR First Class Degree with MCA.
For Geology Posts
- Candidates applying for Geology posts should have M.Sc/M.Tech in Geology, Applied Geology, Geophysics or Applied Geophysics with minimum 60% marks.
For Rajbhasha (Hindi) Posts

Coal India MT Age Limit 2026
The upper age limit for Coal India Management Trainee recruitment is

Age relaxation is applicable for candidates expect for General/EWS candidates . The relaxation is as follows

Coal India MT Selection Process 2026
Selection process for Coal India Management Trainee Recruitment 2026 will be as follows .
- Computer Based Test (CBT)
- Document Verification
- Initial Medical Examination
A CBT exam is conducted , based on the merit of the exam candidates will be called for document verification. After document verification medical examination will be conducted to the selected candidates . Finale results will be published based on medical exam results .There will be no interview.

The Coal India Management Trainee CBT will be conducted for 3 hours and will consists of two papers.
