Eligibility
Educational Qualification
Candidates applying for RRB Technician Recruitment 2026 must possess the required technical qualifications from recognized institutions.
Technician Grade-I Signal
Candidates should have any one of the following qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Physics/ Electronics/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Instrumentation.
OR - Diploma/Degree in Engineering in relevant streams such as Electrical/ Electronics/ Communication/ Instrumentation/ Computer Science/ Information Technology.
Technician Grade-III
- Candidates must have Matriculation / SSLC (10th Class)
AND - ITI certificate in relevant trade approved by NCVT/SCVT
OR - Completed Act Apprenticeship in related trades.
Age Limit
Technician Grade-I Signal
- Minimum Age: 18 Years
- Maximum Age: 33 Years
Technician Grade-III
- Minimum Age: 18 Years
- Maximum Age: 30 Years
Age will be calculated as on 01 July 2026.
Medical Standards
- Technician Grade-I Signal: B-1 Medical Standard
- Technician Grade-III: Medical standards will be as per detailed CEN notification.
- Candidates must satisfy the prescribed medical fitness standards for appointment in Railways.
Salary Details
Selected candidates will receive salary as per the 7th CPC Pay Matrix.
Technician Grade-I Signal
- Pay Level: Level 5
- Initial Basic Pay: ₹29,200 per month
Technician Grade-III
- Pay Level: Level 2
- Initial Basic Pay: ₹19,900 per month
Apart from the basic pay, candidates will also receive allowances and benefits applicable under Railway rules.
